Award Season

Dec 15

Award Season

The latter part of this year, Youturn and our CEO were nominated and recognised for various awards.  It’s not often that we stop to reflect on the work that we have done, but it is nice every now and again to know that we are recognised along our peers.

The season kicked off with our CEO, Dr Tanya Bell being named as the winner in the category of Sunshine Coast Professional Business Woman for 2022 at the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Awards held in August.

Our Youturn Team also had the opportunity to step on the red carpet to attend the Sunshine Coast Business Awards Gala dinner. Along with eight other esteemed nominees, Youturn was nominated as a finalist in the category of Social Impact.

Sadly we did not win, but we were encouraged and excited to be in the company of over 850 top business owners and organisations – all contributing to what makes the Sunshine Coast so amazing!

Youturn and our CEO Dr Tanya Bell were also nominated in THREE categories at the prestigious International Stevie Awards for Women in Business, held at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas in November.

YOUTURN was nominated in the category of: Organization of the Year – Government or Non-Profit (More Than 10 Employees) winning BRONZE

AND Dr Tanya Bell, our CEO was nominated for:

  • Female Thought Leader of the Year – Government or Non-Profit winning SILVER
  • Female Innovator of the Year – Government or Non-Profit –11 to 2,500 Employees… winning GOLD!

Created in 2002 to honour and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide, these awards recognize the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organisations they run.

“This award and recognition means so much to us! It’s our first submission to the Stevie Awards and were are sincerely humbled and honoured to be recognised alongside these other amazing organisations on this prestigious international stage.

It is due to the dedication of our staff, and commitment of our partners and donors that have allowed us to make a difference in our local communities. Thank you so much!” said Dr Bell.
