As a company limited by guarantee, our organisation is governed by a Board of Directors who provide ex gratia strategic advice, guidance and support to the organisation. Our Chief Executive Officer reports directly to the Board of Directors and is supported by the Executive Team.

 

MITCH EVANS, Board Chair

MITCH EVANS, Board Chair

Mitch has more than 18 years’ experience working within the recruitment and talent acquisition industry across Australia, UK and Germany, 8 of which he ran his own organisation.

Mitch now works as the National Enterprise Lead & QLD State Lead at SEEK, developing SEEKs engagement strategy and working with some of Australia’s largest organisations.

Mitch also currently sits on the Corporate Advisory Board for the Department of Family and Domestic Violence and the Advisory Board for the Department of Employment and Small Business. He holds a Master of Business Administration, Diploma of International Business and a Diploma of Business Administration.

DR OSCAR MODESTO, Director

DR OSCAR MODESTO, Director

Oscar has worked in the tertiary education sector for more than 15 years and is currently working as an academic, researcher and Course Coordinator at Australian Catholic University (ACU).

A registered psychologist with a Masters Degree in Family Therapy and a PhD in Psychology, Oscar has more than 20 year experience working in Mental Health settings and in not-for-profit organisations, where he has held senior roles overseeing a range of services including: post separation, family violence, counselling and psychoeducation, among other services.

Oscar has been the chair and member of different community organisation management committees and has a keen interest in organisations that facilitate community growth and improved wellbeing for clients and staff.

KATIE ACHESON, Director

KATIE ACHESON, Director

Katie is an accomplished community advocate with extensive experience in leading organisations and providing expert advice on community development and mental health. With over 20 years of experience in leading large-scale services and projects coupled with her own lived experience, Katie has a comprehensive understanding of the mental health and community service systems and policies, and broad practice embedding client-centred decision making into service delivery.

Katie was awarded the Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence – Social Enterprise & Not-for-Profit in 2019 and was named among the Impact 25 – Most Influential Leaders in the Social Sector in 2015.

Katie has a Masters of International Development: Social Policy and Social Development, Graduate Diploma of Community Services Management, Associate of Arts, and a Bachelor of Social Work.

GEORGIA O’KEEFFE, Director

GEORGIA O’KEEFFE, Director

Georgia is an accomplished business strategist with over a decade of innovation in roles that drive large scale change relating to organisational culture, capability, governance, performance and risk management. Most recently she is focusing strategic vision on the delivery of enterprise-wide leadership strategies for one of Australia’s largest public sector organisations.

Georgia has a passion for inspiring participation and challenging the status quo for better outcomes. She is a firm advocate for nurturing opportunities for wellbeing in the workplace as in life and promoting change that advances individual aspirations.

Georgia has a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Master of Business Administration and is currently undertaking the AICD Company Directors Course.

AARON MINTON, Director

AARON MINTON, Director

Aaron has over 20 years’ experience in the technology and supply chain industries, focused on digital capability and business improvement projects across the globe, primarily in Asia Pacific, Europe and the US.

Aaron now works as the Digital Transformation Manager for CHEP Australia, responsible for influencing the global digital agenda and delivering large scale change to the Asia Pacific region.

With a particular interest in mental health, Aaron has worked closely with entrepreneurs in this space, providing support and guidance as they work to deliver digital solutions to today’s challenges.

Aaron has a Bachelor of Information Technology as well as Master of Business Administration, both from QUT.

CRAIG MARTIN, Director

CRAIG MARTIN, Director

Craig is values driven, strategic and commercially savvy global NFP leader with over 18 years’ experience in health & wellbeing, mental health, suicide prevention leading national and international teams in research, non-profit, commercial & government sectors. Skilled in strategic leadership, governance, organisational growth, transformation, innovation and stakeholder management .

Passionate about young people, social justice and building empowered, high performing teams and organisations to deliver a scalable, sustainable, and meaningful social impact through authentic, servant leadership.

Craig has a Master of Business Administration (Executive) at AGSM at UNSW, Master of Clinical Leadership and Grad Dip in Mental Health from UWS.

JANELLE REID, Director

JANELLE REID, Director

Janelle is an experienced non executive director and currently serves on multiple boards in the health care and sports industries. She is Chair of multiple Governance and Risk Committees and Chair of an Audit and Finance Committee.

Janelle has a leadership role as General Counsel at an Australian Federal Government Statutory Corporation. She was also a Senior Lawyer in a top-tier law firm and spent nearly a decade in a team consistently ranked in Band 1 across the Asia-Pacific. Her technical specialisations include planning, environment, property, major infrastructure, mining and construction with skills extending beyond these areas.

Janelle’s experience as a director includes corporate governance including ESG, building new revenue streams for businesses facing disruption, developing and monitoring strategic goals and innovation.

Our organisation is a company limited by guarantee. We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC), classified a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
