Intensive Family Support (IFS) service provides support to vulnerable families to address multiple and/or complex needs, assisting families to build their capacity to safely care for and protect their children.
The support is provided by skilled and professional Case Officers and Support Workers, with the aim to improve family functioning and wellbeing using a goal focused approach. The IFS Service is a voluntary service, creating stronger, safer and more resilient families and communities. The IFS team work with families who are wanting to create change and engage in the supports provided.
Family and Child Connect (FaCC) are the primary referrer to IFS services. IFS also accept referrals from mandatory reporters (such as education, health care), government and non-government agencies, Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services, and self-referring families.
Referrals can be made via the Family Support Referral website.
