Intensive family support services
Intensive family support (IFS) services help vulnerable families address multiple and/or complex needs, assisting families to build their capacity to safely care for and protect their children.
The support provided aims to improve family wellbeing – which creates stronger, more resilient families.
Family and Child Connect (FaCC) are the primary referrer to IFS services, and where IFS has capacity referrals can also be accepted from mandatory reporters, Child Safety, government and non-government agencies, and families themselves.
Youturn Youth Support is funded to assist around 136 families a year.
IFS staff will engage with family members who are willing to receive support. Referrals can be made via the stronger families website.
