Youturn is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to improve user experience and increase the accessibility and usability of our website, and in doing so adhere to many of the available accessibility standards and guidelines.
Our website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and to incorporate relevant WCAG A and AA requirements as endorsed by the Australian Government. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.
This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site is compatible with current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code.
Whilst Youturn strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
Youturn is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
- Non-HTML documents on this website are available in PDF and Word formats.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader software is available to view PDF’s as a free download from the Adobe website. The Accessibility Resource Centre at Adobe provides a user guide to assist users of screen readers to read the content of PDF documents.
- Video content currently do not include captions.
We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of our site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Youturn website, please don’t hesitate to contact us on reception@youturn.org.au
