Bridging Families Program

The Bridging Families Program is committed to the safety, protection and wellbeing of children and young people, focusing on the holistic needs of families.

The program, based in Toowoomba, aims to work collaboratively with Toowoomba Child Safety Service Centres to help strengthen families and create positive, life-affirming change, and assist parents to provide a safe and protective environment for their children.

Referral to the Bridging Family Program is only through the Queensland Government Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services, Toowoomba north and south Service Centers.

Families who are eligible for the Bridging Families Program:

  • Have agreed to an Intervention with Parental Agreement (IPA), or Support Services case, and are willing to accept support voluntarily
  • Have a child living at home, or are undergoing reunification under a Child Protection Order, or Supervision Order that requires specific actions involving the family
