Australia Zoo supports Child Protection Week

In 2022, National Child Protection Week highlighted the important message that ‘Every child, in every community, needs a fair go’. This year we shone a light on children growing up safe and supported. 

Youturn were fortunate enough to be joined by a number of families at Australia Zoo on Saturday of National Child Protection Week for the Family Fun Day.  

Local service providers all put together great activities for families to enjoy together, with plenty of craft, painting, building and creating to be done. 

It was a wonderful day out –  a chance for families to connect with local services, and find out more about the support available to them in their local community.

National Child Protection Week looks at what works to keep children safe and supported, what children are telling us, what families are telling us, what the evidence is telling us, and how to translate this knowledge into action.

This important week also reminds us of the vital role adults take in keeping children and young people safe. 

Our organisation is a company limited by guarantee. We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC), classified a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
