Youth Enhanced Service (YES)
Youth Enhanced Service (YES) is here to assist young people aged 12-25 years with moderate to high mental health care needs.
The YES program has a team of clinicians and healthcare professionals who provide psychological support and other care as needed. Sometimes, the team may suggest other care services better suited to help the young person, and if so, they will discuss it with you and help you access those services in your area.
These services are currently available in Darling Downs and West Moreton, with programs expected to commence in the Adelaide metropolitan region in July 2023.
YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
When you arrive for your first appointment you will meet your clinician, get to know them and they will get to know you and what brings you to the YES Program.
Once you have settled in, you can talk to your clinician about your concerns.
Once you have worked through your concerns, you will work with your clinician to develop a care plan to suit your needs.
AFTER YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
After your first appointment, you will continue to be supported to work on your recovery goals with our clinician and other Youturn support networks which may include our Lived Experience Peer Workers and/or Care Coordinators.
THROUGHOUT YOUR RECOVERY JOURNEY
Throughout your recovery journey with the YES clinician, we will review your goals and actions and make adjustments according to your needs.
We will also provide outreach support if required.
When you speak with a YES worker, what you say is kept confidential. This means nothing you say can be passed on to anyone else without your permission, unless we are seriously concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else. This is because we have a duty of care to try to keep everyone safe.
In these cases, we’ll provide only necessary information to appropriate support people and services that can protect you and/or others, such as a parent, support person, a crisis service or the police or ambulance. Where possible, we will be open about this with you and let you know if our concerns reach the point where we need to involve other services.
