Local support in Toowoomba

Our team is growing in Toowoomba with four new staff members joining us at Hume Street!

Welcome to Rachel Vidler – Housing Strategy Manager, Belle Ellis – Bridging Families Case Officer, Shelly Matheson – Family Support Worker, and Stu Moar – Community Engagement Officer.

Along with our growing team, our facilities and services are also expanding, with our brand-new laundry facilities soon to be available for use by our community.

The laundry was a project made possible by the combined efforts of our fundraising initiatives and generous support of the local community.
We want to say a big thank you to BBC QLD, Newlands, Tbar Electrical, Plumbing and Gas Australia, and Harvey Norman Electrical for making this project possible.

Youturn CEO, Dr Tanya Bell, and General Manager Development and Impact, Amanda Glenwright recently attended the Heritage Bank Golf Day event, where Youturn was presented with a generous grant of $8,000. These funds will be put towards the purchase of driving lessons packs as well as skills/training for job readiness (RSA, barista etc) for the young people we support.

Our organisation is a company limited by guarantee. We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC), classified a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
